Jim Sonefeld

Jim "Soni" Sonefeld, full name James Sonefeld (born October 20, 1964), is an American musician and one of the founding members of Hootie & the Blowfish. In September 2008 he went solo with his solo debut album ''Snowman Melting'' on Aquarian Nation Records/The Orchard record label. The album was produced by Francis Dunnery.
==Career==
Sonefeld is a graduate of Naperville Central High School in Naperville, Illinois. He then attended the University of South Carolina, where he became a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks Soccer Team.
Sonefeld has been one of the members of Hootie & the Blowfish since 1989, alongside Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan and Dean Felber. He played drums and percussion for the band and was on backing vocals.
